Mr-Glass Construction in Ontario, CA | Daly City Construction

We service, repair, and install Mr-Glass shower enclosures, mirrors, and commercial glazing across Ontario, CA. We’re an independent glass and construction crew led by Noel Cabrera, not a Mr-Glass dealer, so our approach is different: we fix the actual failure instead of defaulting to a full replacement. Ontario homes range from 1950s tract houses off Holt Boulevard to brand-new builds in Ontario Ranch, and a Mr-Glass enclosure behaves very differently in each. Call (866) 505-5254 for a straight assessment and a free estimate.

Why Ontario Residents Choose Us for Mr-Glass Service

We’ve spent years working on Mr-Glass frameless and semi-frameless enclosures across the Inland Empire, from Mr-Glass service in Montclair to Ontario, and Ontario’s conditions put specific stress on that hardware. Hard water, summer heat over 100°F, and Santa Ana wind cycles are the three things that age glass hardware fastest here. Noel grew up in Daly City’s Westlake district and trained in construction technology at City College of San Francisco before years of residential and light commercial work, so our crew’s instinct is to diagnose the real failure point before recommending any fix. If a panel is sound, we keep it. If it’s chipped at a hinge or the frame is bent, we tell you that replacement beats repair. That’s the whole philosophy.

We’re also not affiliated with or authorized by Mr-Glass. That matters because we’re not pushed to sell new units. With full Mr-Glass sales & service experience across the region, we know the difference between a $40 roller replacement and a $3,000 enclosure replacement, and we’ll tell you which one your bathroom actually needs.

Common Mr-Glass Construction Problems We Solve in Ontario

  • Seized rollers and sagging sliding doors. Ontario’s hard water leaves mineral deposits on Mr-Glass sliding door tracks and rollers. The rollers corrode, the panel starts to fight the track, and eventually it jumps out or sags. We replace the roller assembly with OEM-equivalent hardware and re-align the track. This is the single most common call we get from homeowners in the 1950s-70s neighborhoods near downtown.
  • Leaking wall jamb seals on frameless enclosures. The 3/8-inch tempered panels on Mr-Glass frameless units rely on silicone at the wall jamb and a sweep at the bottom. Ontario’s thermal cycling, especially in 1980s-90s stucco subdivisions across the north and east, stresses that silicone until it separates. Water wicks into bathroom framing, and the homeowner notices the grout darkening or drywall bubbling before they notice the enclosure itself. We re-seal the jamb, replace the sweep, and check the curb for pitch issues while we’re there.
  • Fogged seals on storefront glazing. Ontario’s warehouse and distribution-center boom means a lot of Mr-Glass aluminum entry systems on commercial storefronts. When summer heat followed by Santa Ana wind events stresses the glazing gaskets, insulated units fog and seals fail. We reglaze or replace the IGU depending on the frame condition, and we’re familiar with the commercial code requirements Ontario enforces near the logistics corridors.
  • Loose factory hinges and handle sets. Heavy frameless Mr-Glass doors work their hinges loose over time, especially if the door gets yanked open during hot, dry spells when the house shifts. We see chipped glass edges where untrained installs let panels meet tile curbs at the wrong angle. Once that edge is chipped, the tempered panel is compromised and needs replacement, not repair.
  • Sweep failures in older Holt Boulevard baths. The original bathrooms in Ontario’s 1950s and 60s tract homes have tight dimensions and often shallow curbs. A failed bottom sweep sends water onto original tile and into the subfloor. The fix matters more in these older homes because the flooring underneath is usually fir or plywood that has already been through decades of humidity cycles.

Mr-Glass Service in Ontario: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Here’s what we see that a contractor from outside the Inland Empire might miss: Ontario’s housing stock has a hard split personality. Off Holt Boulevard, south of the 10, you’re looking at 1950s and 60s tract homes with original baths that measure five feet wide if you’re lucky. Some of those bathrooms still have their original 1960s tile, and the shower footprint was built for a curtain rod, not a frameless glass panel. When we install a Mr-Glass enclosure there, we’re sizing the panel to an 18-inch door opening, working around a window in the shower wall, and often setting the curb higher than we would in a newer home because the original drain line sits close to the slab. Ten minutes north in Ontario Ranch, the same Mr-Glass semi-frameless door goes into a master bath with eight-foot ceilings, a double vanity, and a walk-in footprint measured in feet, not inches. The glass sizing, the hardware choice, and the code path are completely different. Ontario’s split between its original core and its master-planned expansion means there is no one-size-fits-all Mr-Glass install here. We’ve done both, which is why we ask which side of the city you’re on before we even quote the job.

Mr-Glass Models & Products We Service in Ontario

We work on Mr-Glass frameless hinged shower enclosures, the 3/8-inch tempered panel units in the Series 500 and 700 style. We service and install semi-frameless sliding tub-shower doors, and we handle custom mirror and vanity glass packages. On the commercial side, we repair and reglaze Mr-Glass storefront and aluminum entry systems, including the gasket and IGU failures we see on Ontario’s commercial corridors.

For parts, we source OEM-equivalent Mr-Glass hinges, rollers, sweeps, and gaskets when the glass is sound. We keep fast-moving hardware stocked locally so a corroded roller on a sliding door doesn’t mean a two-week wait for a part from a distributor. If a panel is chipped at a hinge point or the frame is bent, we’ll tell you straight that replacement beats repair. We also won’t quietly swap in an aftermarket part where it doesn’t match OEM spec, because we know how that ends in a year when the enclosure starts sagging again.

Mr-Glass Service Pricing in Ontario

Here are the line-item ranges we quote for Mr-Glass work in Ontario. These reflect the price of labor, fasteners, sealant, and hardware matched to your specific enclosure.

Mr-Glass Service Typical Range
Frameless Glass Shower Enclosure / Walk-In Shower Installation $4,500 – $12,000
Tub-to-Shower Conversion $3,500 – $10,000
Shower Replacement $3,000 – $8,500

The spread depends on glass panel size, curb construction, whether we’re working around original plumbing in a Holt Boulevard bath or plumbing in a newer Ontario Ranch build, and whether the hardware needs full OEM replacement. A free estimate includes a look at the existing enclosure, the curb, the drain location, and the tile condition. Call (866) 505-5254 and we’ll give you a written number, not a verbal guess.
