We won’t lay pavers directly over the slab edge without a free-draining aggregate band first. The post-tension cables sit inside the slab, and you don’t penetrate them by paving over the edge, but water trapped between pavers and slab edge will cause heave and rocking at the apron. We build the band, then lay the field.

Why do my pavers at the garage apron keep rocking even though the rest of the driveway looks fine?
